A bashling. Some one who is singled out for emotional abuse and/or physical abuse. Some one who gets purposely written out of their inheritance. Some one with no birth rights. Some one purposely neglected financially. The unfavored one.

In my father's family I was just a red headed step child.

cashling

A child who is strongly favored.

The opposite of a bashling.

A child is considered more valueable than other children in the family or group. Within a family - cashlings may be granted special privileges or inheritages that other children in the family are denied.

Grandmother Dora left each of her cashling grandchildren properties in her will, while the bashling grandchildren received only left over furnishings from her estate.

Bashling

A child who is unfavored by one or both of their biological parents or grandparents beginning at birth or early childhood . This usually leads to emotional abuse and, or physical abuse by biological family members. A bashling is marked for life by the abuser or abusers, and has no hope of ever gaining favor with their abuser.

My parents decided I was merely a bashling before I was two years old.
