epidoula

a combination therapy for labor that includes a doula AND an epidural.

a typical labor patient who desires a non-medicated, "natural" delivery and solicits the services of a doula. at some point in the labor process, she decides to add an epidural for pain management. the epidural is an adjunct treatment. hence, she uses the doula with the epidural---epidoula
