Fish-kisser

The aquatic counterpart to tree-hugger, is occasionally used as a derogatory term for environmental activists as well as those who study the environment. Also a humors title for someone who works in Ichthyology or fisheries management.

Naturalist

Someone who devotes themselves to the scientific or in some cases artistic study of nature. Naturalists are generally knowledgeable about nature, and are often able to identify animals, plants, weather formations and other occurrences to a T. A person may consider themselves a naturalist even if it is not part of a career.
Do not confuse with naturist, or someone who enjoys nudity.

John, the local naturalist, could identify all of the birdsongs we could hear in the spring.

The economic event beginning on January 28th, 2021, in which a group of young traders powered by a reddit forum were able to shake up the American stock market by taking advantage of Gamestop shares. This event interrupted the status quo of the market, and depleted hedge funds.
