The act of repeatedly continuing in an arcade video game solely to complete it (usually a 2D shooter where the player's ship or character respawns on the spot instead of being returned to a checkpoint), which on a real machine can only be accomplished by inserting lots of coins - hence the "credit-feed".
But it's a very unprofessional way of gaming as opposed to learning and memorizing the levels, and often comes with the penalty of having one's score reset to 0 every time he or she continues.
Furthermore, to make things even worse... the ability to continue is lost once the final level or final boss is reached in some titles - particularly those made by Taito and SNK!
