Point and tail situation

A situation where someone comes in at the tail end of a conversation and doesn't get the point of the conversation and is a dumbass who tries to put in their two cents.

Kyle: ... and that's why I learned to play the super Mario brothers theme song on guitar.

David: Oh, interesting story.
Dumbass guy: (while butting in) I can play guitar too!
Kyle: It's really more of a point and tail situation.

Ostrabate

The act of standing around trying to decide what to do next. While ostrabating, a lot of time is wasted. Usually occurs in a large group.

Guy 1: why can't we think of something to do?

Guy 2: I know! Why did we stand here and ostrabate for an hour?!?!

Guy 3: We have wasted the better part of an evening!
