blastatechphobia

The fear that electronic or mechanical devices (like chargers, fans, laptops, routers, etc.) getting blast cause of overheat, catch fire, or explode after long use — especially when left plugged in 24/7.

Often seen in older generations who lived through sketchy old tech, or in anxious people who double-check their power strips like it's a ritual. Not officially listed as a phobia, but very real.

Common symptoms: unplugging everything before sleep, avoiding charging overnight, sweating when a fan sounds weird, or imagining your WiFi router combusting at 2AM.
She always unplugs every device before bed because of her blastatechphobia.
