SharmutaMaxxing

A movement started by @eritreanitgirl centered on East African women reclaiming the word “sharmuta,” which has historically been used to shame women who don’t conform to societal expectations. It represents liberation, freedom of speech, individuality, and the right to choose your own life without being defined by traditional gender roles or community standards.

Ever since I started sharmutamaxxing, I stopped caring about society’s expectations and started living life on my own terms.
