5150

Don't borrow money for something you don't need.

From The rule of 5150: If you have 50 bucks and want to spend 51 bucks, don't buy it. You may never know what happens afterwards.
Elton wanted to buy that $51.00 "Cowboy Songs of the 1960s" CD collection and he only had $50.00 in his pockets. One second after he signed the papers at the corner payday loans check cashing place, the company he worked for declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy and laid off his butt on the spot. Now he may lose his truck and his house if he cannot pay back the money. He should have remembered the rule of 5150 instead of satisfying his jones of uncontrolled spending extravagance.
