Soul
The very culmination of your being. Humans and monsters both have one, but human souls are much stronger. Souls are shaped akin to hearts, monster ones being upside down. Human souls come in many colors and persist after death. Monster souls are all white and shatter soon after dying. It takes 1 human soul and one monster soul to go through a barrier. 7 human souls will shatter it all together.
