A traditional hand gesture in China means the number ‘6’. There is a Chinese net buzzword called ‘six six six’. It means something is awesome and great, or somebody did a great job on something. Therefore some Chinese will use this gesture to show their compliments on something or somebody. Occasionally it’ll be used as a sarcasm.
