Field Mechanic

A person who drives a toolbox truck (service truck) and provides expedite repairs on heavy equipment which is unreasonable or impossible to deliver to a repair facility. Field mechanics are notorious for working long hours in harsh enviroments

The oil rig broke down? Damn it! Call the Field Mechanic, tell him its an emergency!
