I have absolutely no idea anymore. It's one of those ambiguous terms that could mean anything from making out to having sex. Its only purpose is to confuse everyone and evoke numerous debates.

Amelia: "Hook up is either getting off or sex."
Theo: "hook up just means sex..."
Amelia: "I'll prove it! Check Urban dictionary."
