Building Mindfulness

A play-based contemplative practice in which the tactile, creative and constructive act of building with LEGO® bricks is used to cultivate present-moment awareness, focused attention, sensory engagement, reflection and connection with oneself and others.

Also: A facilitated methodology that uses purposeful LEGO® play as a vehicle for individual and collective mindfulness.

Through Building Mindfulness, participants use the repetitive and sensory experience of LEGO building to practise presence, attention and connection.

A practitioner of LEGOmancy; a person who interprets LEGO® bricks, elements, minifigures, colours, arrangements, or constructions through divinatory means to provide insight, clarity, understanding, or guidance.

The LEGOmancer cast the bricks and interpreted their colours, forms and positions to reveal the reading.

A form of divination in which LEGO® bricks, elements, minifigures, colours, arrangements, or constructions are interpreted as symbols to provide insight, clarity, understanding, or guidance.

Through LEGOmancy, a casting of bricks is interpreted according to its colours, forms, positions, relationships and symbolic associations.
