When traveling in foreign countries, the traveler uses their money to distance themselves from as much interaction as possible. Hiding behind taxis, fancy hotels with western food etc.
Hey do you feel like going to the local market to haggle for a woven basket? No I want to sit at the hotel pool and sip mojitoes. Dude you really have your cultural condom on today!!
