626

A slang term used to identify the San Gabriel Valley area of California. It is derived from it's telephone area code after the split from area code 818 in 1997.

Most of these cities are densely populated with those of Chicano, Mexican or Chinese descent. Nearby freeways are always packed with cars, and so are the streets. The 626 is known for the restaurants, shopping, cafes, and anything that involves the spending of income.

Also, SGV, SG.

Some major 626 cities would include: Duarte, Monrovia, El monte, Temple City, Baldwin Park, Rosemead, Monterey Park, San Gabriel, Alhambra, Walnut, Covina, Arcadia, Azusa, Irwindale, etc.
1: "Hey, let's go chill in the 626."
2: "Where you at?"
1: "I'll be in SG in 15 minutes."
2: "Meet you at AU Arcadia."

AU is a local boba cafe, and Arcadia would be the general location of what the person is talking about. Those who are familiar with the location would easily identify where to meet.
