Paper surgery
When you have to either cut paper to add a correction and glue it on or wait out something but mostly about tearing off something from a project but making it look like it was never a mistake is a teacher daily thing in the primary grades so paper surgery is something that I have coined as a phrase and my students actually adore because it makes me feel like it’s OK to make a mistake and it will be corrected
My Father’s Day project had water get spilled on it so my teacher did paper surgery to take the important parts and put them on a different piece of paper with scissors and glue to make it appear as if no mistake had happened.
