Usually used for describing hip hop or rap that is played on the radio 24/7 that is only about money,cars,guns,girls, and drugs.

Music only made to sell records to thug wannabes.

Rap that puts quantity before quality.
Kid1: "Have you heard that New Jay Z, Cash Money, Jarule, Ludacris, song!?"
Kid2: "That shit is wack, you need to stop listening to that commercial rap"

Overground

adj.
The opposite of underground.

More oftenly referred to as mainstream or commercial.

Used to describe music (usually rap/hip hop) that is played on the radio just to sell records, as opposed to being quality music.

Often instead of saying 'overground music' it is simplified to just 'overground' or 'the overground'.

Noun. & Verb. In graffiti terminology it usually refers to using a spray can and doing a throw-up that takes less than 10 minutes. Usually a graffiti artist will go "bombing" and do many bombs in one night.
