On march 13 2020, she was killed in her home when officers forced entry into her apartment as part of an investigation into a drug dealing operation. She was shot 6 times. No drugs were found in the apartment.

He has been described by his friends as a “neighborhood peacemaker” and as a generous congenial person.
On July 17h 2014, Eric was confronted by two police officers that used a chokehold technique (banned by the NYPD) and wrestled him to the ground. Eric lost consciousness and layed down for 7 minutes before an ambulance arrived. He was pronounced dead soon after.
