An extremely intense sport, popular in America, Canada, and played in parts of Australia, which involves large amounts of endurance, strength, and strategy. Brits like to bash it, only because the term "football" is one more thing Americans have that used to be only theirs (oh snap), and because soccer (futbol, football, whatever) is the worlds most popular sport, they can't comprehend the fact that people don't agree with the majority.
The sport has become an obsession in America, and is a giant part of American culture. The rest of the world is obsessed with the lovely little gentlemans sport of futbol, America is obsessed with the hard-hitting high impact sport of football. Were different, not ignorant. People get mad when Americans bash soccer, and insist that we don't understand and that were ignorant of other cultures outside our own. Though, ironically, everyone else does the same exact thing when it comes to American football... But the majority agrees with them, so it's ok
