Hard Meet

The act of two people, whom have only communicated via text and typing(especially if it has been a longer relationship), deciding to meet without ever hearing the other persons voice or seeing them in a picture or video.

I've been answering hilarious tech support texts from Chelsea for eight years, never met her. Today, we just decided to do a hard meet.

Soft Meet

The process by which two people who have only communicated via text and typing use incremental exchanges of visual or auditory information about each other to "get a feel" for what the other person is like IRL before meeting in real life.

(Exempli gratia, first the two send pictures, then they send a short video, then another longer video. Then, once they got comfortable with the idea, they meet)

Me and Sage only typed at each other since '08. Then we decided to do a soft meet.
