Courtesy Space

(noun) Space created by people who wish to stay out of other's personal bubbles, or who don't feel talkative. Found in seated areas, such as a waiting room, or auditorium, and usually one chair/stool/etc. in length

Man sits down by a woman on a bench, leaving a small, but visible space between them
Woman: Hey now, I'm not infectious
Man: This is a Courtesy Space, I didn't want to impose upon your personal bubble
