Nerdy in a particularly wimpish, small and pathetic sort of way. Almost sickly.

"That guy is so schmertle I bet the mice in his apartment give him wedgies."
"He looked nothing like his pictures in person, he was about a foot shorter with no chin and the schmertlest demeanor I've ever witnessed."
