MiniDV

A small camcorder-oriented variant of the family of digital DV videotape format. Invented in 1995 by Sony and Panasonic. MiniDV tapes record in 60 minutes on SP mode, and also in 120 minutes on LP mode. It was a popular format for camcorders, and allowed camera makers to reduce size of their video cameras.

One of the Photoshop's biggest rivals, along with Mac-exclusive Pixelmator. It gained popularity in the 2010s in response to Adobe moving towards their much-hated Creative Cloud subscription system, the program has a one-time purchase system rather than other alternative paid systems.
