stale yellow

A traffic light which has just turned from yellow to red, but you're unable to stop safely, so you just go on thru as if it was still green/yellow. Similar to stale green

Perry: DUDE, you just TOTALLY ran that red light!
Ray: Meh. It was a stale yellow.
