A statement, said with such profound confidence that the listener takes it to be the truth. The statement is likely to be untrue. Usually on obscure facts, that most people are unsure of.

Person: "Hey, do you know what the capital of Botswana?"

Hartism: "It's Mbabane. I'm sure of it. I read it somewhere."
