Mudskipper
A person who acts like they evolved past everyone else, but is still spiritually flopping around in the mud. A mudskipper loves to brag about “doing things the hard way” while conveniently forgetting that they use modern tools, technology, and human advancements every single day.
Mudskippers pull the ladder up behind them, gatekeep progress, insisting that using tools is “cheating” — even though tools are literally the reason humans aren’t still lying face‑down in a tidal pool gasping for air, looking like Steve Buscemi in Mr Deeds
Mudskipper energy includes:
acting superior while contributing nothing
complaining about others using tools they secretly rely on
romanticising suffering
pretending they invented grit
ignoring evolution while benefiting from it
Sucking all of the energy from every room they ever entered with more speed and efficiency than a collapsing star
