What will be Apple's 9th iOS release. iOS 9 is said to include split screen multitasking, app changes, lock screen changes, and will be supported on all devices that support iOS 8. It will be the first time that no devices were dropped support on an iOS update since iPhoneOS 3.

The Apple A8 is a 64-bit ARM based system on a chip (SoC) designed by Apple Inc. It first appeared in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, which were introduced on September 9, 2014. The Apple A8 is sporting a second generation enhanced Cyclone core called Typhoon. The A8 also integrates a graphics processing unit (GPU) which AnandTech believes to be a 4-cluster PowerVR GX6450. On October 16, 2014, Apple introduced a variant of the A8, the A8X, in the iPad Air 2. Compared to the A8, the A8X has improved graphics and CPU performance due to one extra core and higher frequency. The Apple A8 Also includes a second generation motion coprocessor, the M8 Motion coprocessor. Devices that include the Apple A8 include the iPhone 6/6 Plus, iPod Touch 6th Generation, iPad Mini 4th Generation, and the Apple TV 4th Generation.
The Apple A8 SoC is a 64-bit Soc, and the second generation of Apple's 64-bit SoC in the Apple A-series.

Apple's Unix distribution. Properly utilizes a multicore CPU for the best multiprocessing experience, properly manages RAM and efficiently runs the machine, for as low as 4 hours to as much as 10 hours of continuous use on a MacBook, compared to 3 hours maximum on a Windows PC. Very difficult to obtain a virus, string, robust, reliable, and, if properly taken care of, can last well over a decade. It's worth it's price!

The Apple iPod Touch 3rd Generation was the successor of the iPod Touch 2nd Generation, and is the predecessor of the iPod Touch 4th Generation. It looks very similar to the iPod Touch 2nd gen. physically, but with several hardware changes. The iPod Touch 3rd gen. sports the Samsung S5L8920 SoC, contains 256 MB of RAM, and has the PowerVR SGX535 GPU. It has a display resolution of 320x480 pixels at 163 PPI, uses a 3.7v, 789 mAh Lithium-Ion battery, and is available in a choice of 32 and 64 GB. The latest iOS update for this iPod Touch is iOS 5.1.1.
The iPod Touch 3rd Generation is a great improvement from the iPod Touch 2nd gen., as the 3rd gen. supports OpenGL 2.0, a faster CPU, and twice the RAM.
