Triggernomics

/ˈtriɡər nämiks/

*noun*

An ideology of acceptance of excessive knee-jerk reactions and/or investing an exorbitant amount of emotional energy into being offended by or responding to innocuous words/gestures/phrases without understanding the surrounding context; often used as an attempt to gain acceptance into a like-minded group.
"Is this ok?"

*gives "OK" sign with hand*

"Uhhhh, did you just make that gesture with your fingers!? Do you realize how racist that is!?"

"Put down the triggernomics, I'm just saying that it's 'OK'"
