A cry of encouragement when someone is attempting something obviously headed for disaster, such as a two footed jump on to a mud bank to retrieve a stray golf ball.

Man 1: “I’m just going to balance my cell phone precariously on the edge of the toilet bowl while I wash my hands”
Man 2: “Go, Joe.”

Instinctively answering “Yes” when asked if you would like another drink, irrespective of prior commitments or responsibilities that will suffer as a consequence.

"Another beer, Hester?"

"Yes, please."

"That’s a very publovian response. Aren’t you meant to be taking Scarlett to the dentist?"

"I’ll worry about that later. Can I have a pickled egg as well?"
