With Inpatient Mental Health, this cocktail of Benadryl, Haldol 5mg, and Ativan 2mg may be ordered to be administered to a patient acting violently towards staff or other patients. The Haldol has a great effect on psych symptoms in a fast period while Ativan takes care of certain withdrawals with sedative effects, along with Benadryl causing the patient to hopefully calm down or even take a nap. Most likely the patient will be sedated with this, and may be therefore considered a chemical restraint.

Anyways, the funniest shit about this is that while it has sedative effects, it has the same name as the B-52 bomber, the airplane responsible for dropping nukes in WW2.

If you're not in the medical field, you probably won't get this sense of humor called dark humor. Get used to it because military, first responders and healthcare workers use dark humor to survive some dark shit seen during work.
:patient starts throwing random things at staff, being violent and you call security:

:u call the doctor:

"Can we get an IM B52 on this patient?"

Get the IM B52 mug.
Literally the worst part of nursing school. This is why some students have to come back for clinical hours AFTER graduation. wtf. For those not in nursing school, it's where you upload your required documents and wait several weeks or more for it to even be looked at to be approved. And the best part is that you don't even know when you got to upload anything until the last damn second so your clinical gets canceled. Also, you never know who is the one accepting your documents, whether it's your own school or your clinical site, so you have no idea who to contact about this bullshit. Not even your nursing director will know. So good luck.
:after your clinical group gets canceled because of Castlebranch issues:
Man, Castlebranch sucks ass.
