An instance of what you now realize would’ve been a crush, had the circumstances been right; a situation where, if you date someone else you knew at the same time, you can honestly say it wasn’t a crush, but if you date them, you can honestly say it was, whether your honesty is you being correct or deluded; the Retcon of crushes.
