When you only comment on someone's appearance despite their attempt at displaying a talent of some kind. Derived from the first season of American Idol when Paula Abdul would choose to compliment a performer's appearance only when she was unimpressed with their singing.

Example: Singer sends you their music video.

You: "You look hot!"

Singer: "Did you just Abdul me, bro?"
