Spacist

An individual that discriminates, or holds an unfounded bias against sci-fi movies, books, or fans. Typically anything space-ship, robot, or future related is the target of ridicul or strange looks from Spacists.

Spacist: "I can't believe you watch Battlestar galactica, you're so lame, and so is that show!"

Spacism

The larger problem in society today where those who enjoy and love sci-fi movies, tv shows, and books (ie: trekkies) are unduly ridiculed, scoffed and laughed at, denied promotions, and turned down for dates.

Because of spacism, Battlestar Galactica is on at 9:00pm on saturday nights, making it even harder for sci-fi fans to have a life and enjoy the things they love
