A term used to refer to people of African-American descent in public without it being widely known to bystanders; slightly racist in nature and is said in a derogatory manner.

Harrison - "Hey Alexander, look at that ongo-bongo over there making all that ruckus."
Alexander - "Ugh. I hate when ongo-bongos get together and blast their rap music."
