I'm from Maryland. We are from the South even though some won’t admit it. We are part of the original Southern Colonies and also part of the Southern United States as defined by the Census Bureau. It's soda, not pop. It's a sub, not a hoagie. It's the beach not the shore and we drink "Wooder" not water. It's acceptable to say "where y'all goin?" in short of "where are you going?"
