Cotton Capital

Family or institutional wealth, tainted by and largely attributable to the labor and production of enslaved peoples.

Think plantations: cotton, sugar cane, coffee, tea, cocoa, rubber, bananas, etc.
That family may have lots of "old money", but it's "cotton capital"!
