Senescencephobia is the irrational fear of autumn, more specifically the process of ‘ Senescence’. It is a distinct phobia from phyllophobia or chrysophobia, and people who suffer from this phobia could be entirely indifferent to leaves or the colour orange under normal circumstances.
My friends invited me to this year’s fall fair but I can’t bring myself to go, I have an extreme case of Senescencephobia.

It is an extremely specific phrase that has been recorded scarcely throughout history, besides a few instances where transcripts were found in the British Isles. Dated back to when the saxons first conquered and colonized England. The term for a long time was poorly translated, and believed to mean “murderer who only kills his kin”, making many believe that it was in refrence to kin slaying or familicide. However with the discovery of more transcripts, they were able to determine it actually meant “murderer who kills other murderers”.
