The Spoons Years

Term that describes the latter years of a, predominantly, gentleman’s life. He is retired and uses his local Wetherspoons as a second home and pre-cursor to a nursing home. He may or may not be escaping endless trips with his spouse to the garden centre or the bingo.

I’m tired at work, all the time; I can’t wait for the Spoons Years.
