A small, quaint fishing village on the North-East coast of Scotland. Situated a few miles East of Buckie, Findochty was once a bustling fishing village, housing over 50 boats in its harbour in the late 19th Century. The industry then moved to the larger harbour of Buckie and now the harbour houses a number of small pleasure craft. It is much photographed for its multicoloured fishing houses backing on to the small and picturesque harbour. Findochty is a particularly insular village and it is often joked that you need a passport to get in.
