moanie

A moanie pronounced (mo nee) is an affectionate term used by little children for an auntie--a child's mother's sister. Little children know she is closely related like a mommy (mom mee), yet distinctively different, so they call her moanie.
My nephew asked, "Moanie, are you going to make brownies again for Christmas?"
