Similar to Gatekeeping, Datekeeping is to make your outfits or ideas exclusive in order to protect them from being seen by the person you are going on a future date with.
Guy 1: "You should ask her if she likes your outfits!"
Guy 2: "No dude! I'm datekeeping my new outfits from Hadey until our date in May."
Guy 1: "Ohh okay!"
Guy 2: "No dude! I'm datekeeping my new outfits from Hadey until our date in May."
