Indian woman

Indian women are individuals, just like white women, we’re not some monolithic stereotype as seen through the racist white gaze.

There are many cultures and languages among us desi ladies, including Gujarati, Punjabi, etc. There are many classical art forms - dance such as bharata natyam, for example - that are often a part of an Indian woman’s heritage and cultural connection.

We live in a world where we’re often navigating two realities and code-switching between cultures, which makes us more complex and multifaceted than most people know :)
I don’t call myself an ‘Indian woman’, I’m a Gujarati lady.
