"Platonic love of my life" is being used, when you have a deep understanding with someone and want to appreciate them as much as possible, but don't have any romantic feelings towards them. Kind of more than a best friend, but less than a romantic partner.
Dana: "You tell Sarah you love her every day, are you guys dating?"
