Almost or all the community of bipolar individuals hate this term. It's described as very hurtful, inappropriate, and very annoying as well. It's recomended to not use this term around one bipolar individual or AT a bipolar individual, since it becomes very irritating and can damage one's (bipolar individual) mood.
