Any sharp throwing weapon used in the martial art of Ninjutsu. Includings things such as kunai (throwing knives, darts, needles) and shaken ("ninja stars", which by the way dont have to have 4 sides, i have one with 6).

In the darkness of the shadows, the assassin unsheathed several shuriken too rain down upon his target.
