Anti-Zionism is the belief that Jews do not deserve the right to self-determination in their ancestral homeland, where they have maintained a continuous presence for over 3,000 years. It is generally exhibited by those who believe in self-determination for most other ethnicities, and as such is inherently anti-Semitic. It refuses to acknowledge that Jews have been persecuted throughout history virtually everywhere they have been minorities and that the existence of the State of Israel provides a safe haven where Jews are free from persecution. Anti-Zionists generally ignore the fact that Israel is an open society where people of all races and religions and even sexual preferences are treated equally, and they often promote falsehoods such as that Jews in Israel get preferential treatment or that Israel is an apartheid society that treats arabs as second class citizens. (It is not and they do not.)
