1) two (sometimes more) gay people of either gender who are best friends
2) a gay person who is the best friend of a straight person

Jordan (lesbian): "Hey, you guys you wanna go shoe shopping later?"
Sara (straight): "Of course Patrick wants to, he's gay!"
Patrick (gay): "Yeah, we're totally gayfles like that."
