1. An overly dramatic or obviously fake excuse given to avoid plans with friends, typically involving mundane tasks like eating, "urgent" errands, or mysterious obligations.
2. A habitual pattern of bailing on social activities under the guise of importance.

He said he had to reorganize his sock drawer instead of joining us — classic pătrășcanie.
