Old mate 

A politically correct way of referring to “that dirty old bastard”, ie. a third person, usually a creepy chap, sitting a few barstools away from you and your group at your local pub.

There we were after work at the pub playing pool, when old mate, decides to pull the smooth moves on my mates missus!
That dirty old bastard! He can have her mate...

reverse heckle 

To wish failure upon someone to illicit the inverse reaction. Only works on bad players. See also reverse psychology

Barry yelled the following reverse heckle at his team mate from the sidelines of the baseball field:
"John is going to hit into a double play because he SUCKS!" (subsequent action is John clearing double.)
