A medical word for “mentally ill” that has caused several fights and one known school shooting.

Karen: how is he?
Doctor: well, after our examination, I’m afraid he tested as retarded.
Karen: WHAT DID YOU SAY?
Doctor: he tested as mentally ill, or retarded.
